WEEK 10: 24.5 ppg, 17.5 rpg, 3.5 apg, .514 FG pct, .833 FT pct
Kimmel was on a tear during Sacred Heart’s swing through the Keystone State. Leading SHU on the two-game road swing that stopped at Saint Francis U and Robert Morris, the 6-foot small forward averaged 24.5 points and 17.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 51.4 percent from the field. Kimmel, who also contributed 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game, played 71 of a possible 80 minutes last week. Powering the Pioneers to the NEC’s highest single-game scoring total this season, Kimmel poured in 26 points and pulled down 23 rebounds during a 101-90 win at Saint Francis U. Becoming the first Pioneer since 2005 to secure at least 20 rebounds in a game, the Empire State product set the NEC single-game rebounding season high in what was the #NECWBB Game of the Week on ESPN3. Two days later, she produced another double-double, her sixth of the season, in a setback at Robert Morris. Kimmel recorded game-high totals in both points (23) and rebounds (12) against the defending NEC champion Colonials. Kimmel, who is one of only 13 NCAA Division I players to accumulate at least 23 rebounds in a game this season, ranks fifth amongst Northeast Conference leaders in scoring (16.6 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (8.6 rpg).
