Walker-Khan is in the mix for another NEC long jump title. The defending conference champion opened the New Year by leaping to victory at the Penn State Relays. His winning mark (7.24m), which is 22 centimeters better than the qualifying standard for the IC4A Championships, catapulted the British-born athlete to the top of the Northeast Conference leader board. One of three NEC long jumpers to exceed 23 feet last week, Walker-Khan ranks 24th overall on the NCAA Division I performance list.
