On the heels of his 2014 NEC Cross Country Most Outstanding Performer award, Hubbell opened his indoor season in successful fashion. The CCSU senior claimed bronze in the mile run at the Yale Collegiate Invitational. He crossed the line in 4:10.32, more than 4.0 full seconds better than the qualifying standard for the IC4A Championships. In addition to making Hubbell the NEC event leader, the time ranks 14th overall on the NCAA Division I leader board and is fewer than 2.0 seconds off the NEC Indoor Championship meet record.
