WEEK 6: 22.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.0 spg, .485 FG pct, .454 3FG pct
Washington had not started a game since going for a SHU record 47 points in the 2014 NEC Tournament quarterfinal round, but the senior guard appeared back in all-star form when she made her first two starts of the season last week. The preseason all-NEC selection averaged 22.0 points per contest while shooting 48.5 percent from the field. Washington was sensational during Sacred Heart’s 23-point road win over Big East member Villanova. Helping the Pioneers close out the non-conference portion of their schedule in triumphant fashion, she victimized the Wildcats with a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds. The only player on the floor for the full 40 minutes, the 5-foot-9 guard sank 6 of 9 attempts from three-point range. She also hit the 20-point mark earlier in the week against MAAC member Siena. Playing 35 minutes, Washington scored a team-high 20 points and made two steals in a 75-65 setback.
