Kane finished second in the high jump at last year’s NEC Indoor Championships, but it appears as if he is thinking about a gold medal this time around. Smashing Wagner’s program record, Kane cleared 2.14m (7’ 0.25”) to win the Fordham Christmas Classic. The mark, which is two centimeters better than the NEC Indoor Championship meet record, immediately catapults the Keystone State product to the top of the conference leader board. Kane is one of only six NCAA Division I high jumpers to clear 7 feet during the season’s opening week.
