Lukosius continued the hot start to her collegiate career while contributing to Fairleigh Dickinson’s first-place finish at the UMES Hawk Classic. The freshman’s 20.81 overall frame average was second on the team; only NEC Bowler of the Week Melanie Hannon produced a higher number. Lukosius posted a 204.0 game average over six traditional team match starts at UMES, ranking sixth overall on the tournament’s individual leader board and earning a spot on the All-Classic Team as a result. The Jersey Shore product threw a 227 game in a lop-sided win over MEAC member Howard. Her 224-pin performance was key to a victory over North Carolina A&T and she put forth a 207-pin showing in a triumph over No. 9 Stephen F. Austin. Lukosius was even more effective during Friday and Sunday’s baker matches. She averaged 20.9 pins per baker frame for the tournament and was sensational during Sunday’s best-of-seven baker semifinal. Manning the leadoff spot, Lukosius filled 10 of 10 frames and threw six strikes in a 4-1 win over defending NCAA champion Sam Houston State. She proceeded to strike 6 of a possible 10 times during FDU’s victory over No. 4 Vanderbilt in the title match.
