Hannon helped Fairleigh Dickinson to an .800 win percentage and a first-place finish at the 18-team UMES Hawk Classic. The second-year Knight, who earned NTCA All-America honors as a rookie last season, averaged a team-high 20.93 pins per frame over the course of the three-day tournament. Hannon filled 90.5 percent of frames bowled while striking on 52.9 percent of her attempts at the event, which featured six of the top-10 teams from the preseason edition of the NTCA Top 20 Poll. Spearheading the Knights’ 12-3 showing, she converted 89 percent of her non-split spare attempts and left only 14 open frames out of 148 bowled. In traditional team play, the Western New York native threw a 215 game in a win over No. 9 Stephen F. Austin. Hannon also broke the 200-pin mark, bowling a 203, in a come-from-behind victory over defending NCAA champion Sam Houston State. Her 201.0 traditional game average ranked 10th overall on the tournament’s individual leader board, and the sophomore was even better during FDU’s nine baker matches. Accounting for a team-high 1,871 baker pinfall, Hannon averaged 21.3 pins during that portion of the meet. In a best-of-seven championship baker bout against No. 4 Vanderbilt, Hannon threw 7 of a possible 10 strikes to power the Knights to a 4-1 victory and the tournament title.
