Noel accounted for 371 yards of total offense and five touchdowns passes in a 35-27 victory over Nutmeg State rival Central Connecticut. The sophomore signal caller finished 26-of-45 passing for 327 yards and ran 13 times for 44 yards as the Pioneers moved within one more win of securing a second consecutive Northeast Conference crown. Noel’s 63-yard touchdown pass to Moses Webb broke a 21-21 tie and gave SHU the lead for good with 13:37 remaining in the fourth quarter. Noel turned a 7-0 deficit into a 14-7 advantage with a pair of second-quarter scoring strikes that were separated by 1:12 on the clock. He hit Tim Goodwin for a 2-yard score before connecting on a 29-yard touchdown with Jackson King. Noel, who has an 18-5 career record under center, has been responsible for a NEC-high 23 touchdowns (19 pass, 4 rush) this season.
