Fighting through rainy and blustery conditions that made passing the ball a difficult task, Bryant’s offensive line provided plenty of running lanes throughout the afternoon and McCray reaped the benefits in a big way. The junior running back averaged a monstrous 20.2 yards per carry during a 31-3 NEC victory over Central Connecticut. McCray ran 12 times for a career-high 243 yards and added 17 yards on four receptions. Breaking a 3-3 halftime tie, McCray scored three unanswered touchdowns as Bryant built a 24-3 lead by the midway point of the fourth quarter. He scored on runs of 57, 1, and 82 yards, helping the Bulldogs moved to 7-1 overall. McCray’s performance contributed to what stands as the top team rushing total in NEC play this season. The Bulldogs rushed for 352 yards during their Week 10 win.
