NEC Co-Player of the Month
It was a month to remember for Rolski, who captured the “A” flight at the Quinnipiac Invitational en-route to a 6-2 singles record for October. The native of Kielczow, Poland first beat Fordham’s Mischa Koran, 6-3, 7-6, then advanced to the semis with a 7-6, 6-4 win over Quinnipiac’s Jonas Kuwert. In the semis he pulled off one of the most notable victories of the young season when he stopped NEC Player of the Year Arvis Berzins of FDU, 6-3, 4-1 (ret.). In the finals, Rolski rallied from a set down to oust QU’s Kei Ezaka, 3-6, 6-1, 10-4. He also won his opening round match at ITA Regionals defeating Carlos Carrera of Saint Peter’s in straight sets before bowing to Harvard All-American Denis Nguyen, 6-3, 7-6. Rolski also notched singles and doubles wins against Fordham to help the Seahawks finish the fall season unbeaten with a 7-0 dual match record.
