Thompson continued her recent torrid stretch of play, leading the Colonials to two more NEC wins this weekend. Thompson paced the team with 29 kills on a .500 hitting percentage, with a career-high 19 of those kills coming in a three-set victory over Fairleigh Dickinson. The junior has hit at over a .375 clip in six of her last seven matches. Defensively, the junior collected 12 block assists, good enough for 1.71 per set. Seven of those block assists came in a four-set victory against Sacred Heart, helping the Colonials complete their first season sweep against the Pioneers since the NEC went to a double round-robin scheduling format.
