Easton threw a program-record five touchdown passes to power Bryant past Saint Francis in what was the Bulldogs’ NEC opener. Helping his team move to 5-1 overall, Easton finished 16-of-22 passing for 283 yards and no interceptions. Easton delivered scoring strikes of 33, 19, 22, 10 and 21 yards in the wire-to-wire victory. He hooked up with Keenan Thompson on a 33-yard touchdown pass that opened the scoring 1:47 into the contest. His second TD toss, a 19-yarder to tight end John Lavin, extended Bryant’s lead 14-3 with 3:45 left in the first quarter. Easton’s final scoring strike, a 21-yard hookup with Lavin, bumped Bryant’s lead to 35-20 with 12:25 remaining in the game. Spreading the ball around, Easton connected with seven different receivers during the game and averaged a robust 12.9 yards per pass attempt.
