WEEK 8 STATS: 305 yds total offense, 14-of-28 passing for 204 yds, 2 pass TD, 11 carries, 101 rush yds, 1 rush TD
Two games into the NEC schedule, Noel has twice exceeded the 300-yard mark in total offense and has two Offensive Player of the Week awards to show for it. His latest notable performance featured late-game heroics against a Duquesne team that had won four in a row. Sacred Heart 6-foot-1 sophomore quarterback engineered a second-half comeback on the road by sprinting 67 yards for a score and then throwing the game-winning touchdown pass with 00:23 left on the clock. Noel finished with 305 yards of total offense (204 pass, 101 rush) and was responsible for all three of his team’s touchdowns in the 23-20 victory. With SHU facing a 20-7 deficit late in the third quarter, Noel broke free on a quarterback keeper and ran 67 yards for his third rushing score of the season. The sophomore signal caller capped the comeback by finding Tyler Dube in the near-left corner of the end zone on a 4th-and-goal play for the Duquesne 12.
