WEEK 7 STATS: 10 total tackles (5 solo), 3.5 sacks, FF
Spearheading a SHU defensive effort that held Robert Morris under the 300-yard mark, Rentz recorded a game-high 10 tackles and forced a fumble during what was the NEC opener for both teams. The sophomore linebacker put his pass-rushing prowess on display as he registered 3.5 quarterback sacks in the 52-13 triumph. Rentz’s first sack of the day led to a three-and-out on Robert Morris’ opening possession. The native Floridian halted a potential RMU scoring drive in the second quarter when he forced a fumble on a 1st-and-10 play from the Sacred Heart 25-yard line. After earning all-NEC honors as a rookie in 2013, Rentz has logged 10.5 tackles for loss, including 6.0 sacks, over the first six games of his sophomore campaign.
