WEEK 6 STATS: 13 total tackles (8 solo), 2.0 sacks
Hill spearheaded a stifling defensive effort that shut out nationally-ranked Delaware for the final 59:46 of Sacred Heart’s 10-7 victory. Helping the Pioneers to their first-ever win over a Top 25 team during what was the program’s first-ever matchup against a CAA team, the senior safety recorded a game-high 13 tackles and 2.0 sacks. Hill made a number of key stops for the Pioneers, who allowed just 275 yards on the final 71 plays of the game. His first significant contribution came on Delaware’s second play from scrimmage. The Blue Hens scored on the game’s opening play (a 79-yard run), and, following a three-and-out by the SHU offense, were looking for more when Hill made a touchdown-saving tackle of Michael Johnson on a reverse play that gained 34 yards. Hill came through again with Delaware looking to break a 7-7 tie and operating a 2:00 drill late in the first half. Making his third tackle of the drive, Hill dropped UD QB Trent Hurley for a 10-yard loss that put the Blue Hens out of field goal range as time ran out.
