Felip has looked every bit like the three-time all-NEC selection she is during the first month of her senior season. She contested two tournaments and has two top-5 finishes to show for it. The former NEC individual champion played five rounds of golf during September, shooting no worse than a 78 en-route to a 75 average. Felip opened her season by shooting a two-round 152 (78-74) at the Tignanelli Towson Invitational. The Spanish-born golfer’s performance tied for fifth overall on the tournament’s individual leader board and helped LIU Brooklyn to a third-place team finish, the highest of all five NEC members who contested the event. Felip carded a three-round 223 (76-71-76) score later in the month at the Yale Fall Intercollegiate Invitational, which was played at a 6,044-yard, par-71 course. Posting the lowest three-round total of all NEC golfers in attendance, Felip finished the weekend at 10-over. She was only one of three golfers in the 86-person field to make par on the tournament’s second day. In term of the team standings, LIU finished ahead of regional rivals Dartmouth, Albany, Central Connecticut, Sacred Heart and Quinnipiac.
