The Blue Devils have two wins over CAA members this season and Hollomon has totaled more than 200 yards from scrimmage in each of the victories. The Walter Payton Award candidate, who piled up 209 yards from scrimmage in a season-opening win at Towson, was at his best again in Week 5. Powering the Blue Devils to a 38-14 win over Rhode Island, Hollomon rushed for a career-high 236 yards and two touchdowns while becoming only the third 3,000-yard rusher in program history. Helping the Blue Devils snap a three-game slide, the senior running back accounted for an 8.7 yards per carry average that received a boost from touchdown runs of 74 and 54 yards. Hollomon, who leads CCSU in receptions (22), made one catch for 14 yards against URI. Adding 53 kickoff return yards to the mix, Hollomon totaled 303 all-purpose yards during Central’s first home win of the season.
