WEEK 1 STATS: 4-for-4 PATs, 5 kickoffs, 299 KO yards, 2 touchbacks
Crimmins’ kicking was a factor in Duquesne’s near-upset of Division I FBS member Buffalo. Although the Preseason All-NEC selection did not attempt a field goal, he neutralized Buffalo’s kickoff return game and was a perfect 4-for-4 on extra-point kicks in the 38-28 setback. Crimmins blasted two of his five kickoffs for touchbacks while UB managed only 20.3 yards per return on three runbacks. After Duquesne took a 28-24 lead on the first play of the fourth quarter, Crimmins put the ensuing kickoff in the end zone to keep the momentum with the Dukes. The DU defense proceeded to force a 3-and-out.
