LAST WEEK: 5 Starts, .500 BA (9-for-18), 2 2B, HR, 10 RBI, 4 runs, 1.000 field pct.
Sullivan was not kind to Sacred Heart’s Nutmeg State rivals last week. He reached base safely in all five of SHU’s games and recorded an RBI in four of the five contests. Helping the Pioneers earn a mid-week win over Quinnipiac and a weekend series split with Central Connecticut, Sullivan tallied nine hits and 10 RBI in five starts. The sophomore outfielder batted .500 (9-for-18) with two doubles, one homer and four runs scored. Sullivan was sensational in dealing MAAC member Quinnipiac an 11-4 loss in Hamden. He sparked the SHU offense by leading off the second inning with a double and coming around to score the game’s first run on the way to a 3-for-5 performance at the plate. After recording a pair of runs and RBI against QU, Sullivan was the primary power source in the Pioneers’ series-opening win over CCSU. The second-year Pioneer blasted a three-run bomb in the sixth inning before unloading a bases-clearing double that tied the game at 7-7 in the ninth.
