Blandino spun 8.0 scoreless innings in the series finale against LIU Brooklyn. Pitching CCSU to a series victory that allowed the Blue Devils to clinch a spot in the upcoming NEC Tournament, the rookie right-hander allowed only two hits and one base on balls. In control throughout, Blandino retired the side in order during five of eight frames pitched. He started the contest by setting down 10 batters in a row until a one-out single in the fourth inning. Blandino issued a free pass to the leadoff batter in the fifth inning, but stranded him at first base. He was touched up for a two-out single in the seventh inning, but induced a ground out to third base one batter later. Fifteen of the 24 outs he recorded came via ground balls.
