Armstrong is peaking just in time for the NEC Outdoor Championships. The LIU triple jumper set a seasonal best for the second consecutive week. Armstrong triple jumped 14.91m (48’ 11”) while competing at the Penn Relays. The mark was a 2-centimeter improvement upon the 14.89m leap he turned in at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational a week earlier. Armstrong has a narrow 3-centimeter lead over Robert Morris’ Richard Njenga for first place in the NEC.
