LAST WEEK: 3 App, 1-0, 0.00 ERA, 6.2 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 3 K, 0 BB
Connolly threw three scoreless outings in relief last week, including his first career victory. In all, he spun 6.2 innings of two-hit ball. The rookie righty was sensational when called upon during Game 3 of Central’s four-game weekend series with Wagner. Taking the ball in the fourth inning of a scoreless game, Connolly went onto to record 11 outs while facing only 10 batters. He induced an inning-ending double play in the fourth frame and proceeded to retire the next nine men in order in the eventual 4-0 win. The only two hits he allowed last week came in non-conference contests. Connolly allowed one hit over 2.0 scoreless frames in a 4-1 road win over America East leader Stony Brook. He also gave up a hit in 1.0 inning of work against UConn.
