Seeing his first game action in nearly two months, Zarozny immediately made his presence felt during Bryant’s four-game NEC sweep of Mount St. Mary’s. The sophomore outfielder, who was sidelined by injury since March 2, recorded at least one hit and one run in each of his first four games back in the lineup. He totaled eight hits, nine runs and four RBI during four road victories at the Mount. Zarozny, who hit .500 (8-for-16) for the weekend, homered in his first at-bat in more than seven weeks. Adding another solo blast later in the contest, Zarozny went 3-for-3 with three runs scored in the 12-2 series-opening triumph. He stole a base and scored Bryant’s fifth run in the first inning of Game 2, a 5-4 victory for the Bulldogs. He smashed the first pitch he saw in Game 3 for a double and finished the 8-3 win with a 3-for-5 showing at the plate. Zarozny added two more runs in the series finale, a 12-3 victory that bumped Bryant’s conference record to 11-1.
