Schlitter stifled Central Connecticut in Game 2 of Bryant’s four-game set with the Blue Devils. The senior righty received a pair of first-inning runs from his offense, and he took care of the rest. Schlitter fired a 7-inning complete-game shutout during which he struck out seven batters and walked no one. The grizzled veteran needed 106 pitches to secure his fifth victory of the season. He scattered five hits, all singles, throughout the game, which was his eighth start of the spring.
