Had Hutchins been racing at the NEC Outdoor Championships, she would have set the meet record in the 10,000m run. Contesting the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, CA, the third-year Pioneer demolished her previous personal record and took over the NEC lead in the event by more than four full minutes. Hutchins clocked in at 35:32.43, a time that ranks second in SHU history and is faster than the NEC championship meet record set by SHU’s Alyssa Selmquist in 2013. She ranks 29th on the NCAA East Region performance list and sits 57th overall on the Division I leader board.
