Tihomirova, a two-time NEC Player of the Month, adds an NEC Rookie of the Week award to her burgeoning resume after starring in FDU’s 6-1 win at Bryant on Saturday. The freshman lifted her singles record to 14-8 on the year and 6-4 at the #1 flight with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Bryant’s Marion Bouillin. She also teamed with Gisela Castany for an 8-3 victory at #1 doubles. Tihomirova’s 14 singles wins in 2013-14 ranks second in the NEC among freshman competitors.
