Albanese logged eight hits and six runs in five games last week, four of which were victories for Bryant. The rookie outfielder hit .381 (8-for-21) with two doubles, one walk and one RBI. He had a career day in a mid-week win over America East member Hartford before scoring key runs in both of Bryant’s wins over Connecticut at the Dodd Stadium College Classic. Albanese went 5-for-5 with one double, a stolen base, one RBI and two runs scored in a 6-2 road triumph over the Hawks. Albanese crossed the plate with the first run of the 2014 Dodd Stadium College Classic, putting Bryant on track for a 7-2 win over UConn. He absorbed a hit-by-pitch and came around to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 first-inning lead. He later doubled and scored again in the fifth. Bryant defeated UConn again two days later; this time using a ninth-inning rally sparked by Albanese to do so. The right fielder led off the ninth inning of a 3-3 game with a single and came around to score the go-ahead run on a Robby Rinn single three batters later.
