The 2014 NEC weight throw champion has made himself the early-season favorite to capture a conference crown in the discus and the shot put. Troiani won both of those throwing events while competing at the FDU Knights Classic this past weekend. The veteran thrower widened his league lead in the discus, registering a top fling of 46.63 (153’) at FDU. Troiani also tops the NEC performance list in the shot put thanks to the season-opening mark he put forth at CCSU meet.
