Anderson’s outstanding play all-around was a driving force behind Bryant’s 4-0 record last week. The Bulldogs’ leadoff man hit for average and power while playing a flawless centerfield. Anderson, who has yet to make an error this season, batted .705 (12-for-17) and slugged .941 as Bryant posted wins over America East members UMass Lowell and Albany. Starting all four games, the junior centerfielder recorded four doubles, nine RBI and four runs. His second-inning RBI single opened the scoring in a mid-week win over Lowell. Anderson reached base safely four times and drove in four runs in a 13-3 triumph over Albany in Friday’s series opener. The left-handed hitting leadoff man proved to be an impossible out during Saturday’s doubleheader sweep of the Great Danes. Anderson went 7-for-7 at the plate with four RBI and two runs as Bryant out-scored Albany by a 20-4 margin to pick up two more victories. His four hits (4-for-4) in the first half of Saturday’s twin bill, a 6-0 win for Bryant, were a career high. Anderson carries an on-base streak into the new weeks. The lefty has reached base safely in 12 straight plate appearances (10-for-10 with 2 BB).
