Leinigen put his pin-point control on display during a 6-0 shutout at Atlantic 10 member Fordham. Helping Sacred Heart secure a series victory over the Rams, the veteran lefty fired more than 70 percent of his pitches for strikes in the complete-game road win. Leinigen scattered seven hits and walked one over 7.0 innings of work. He fanned three. After retiring the Rams in order in the first inning, Leinigen fell into a little trouble the following frame. He surrendered back-to-back hits to start the inning, but his defense cut down the lead runner at third base and the senior southpaw followed by picking off a runner at second base to extinguish the threat.
