Hart posted the best individual numbers of all NEC bowlers at the Sam Houston State Kat Klash. Effectively using her strike ball throughout the weekend, the Blackbirds’ anchor bowler recorded a 20.61 overall frame average for the three-day event. Hart threw 114 strikes in 194 attempts (.588) over the course of 16 matches and filled more than 85 percent of frames bowled. The 2013 NTCA All-American Honorable Mention accounted for a 202.5 traditional game average during Saturday’s six team matches, including a 233-pin performance in a win over tournament host Sam Houston State. Hart’s best game came in the form of a 257 against National No. 1 Arkansas State. LIU’s anchor bowler was even better during baker play. Hart averaged 20.86 pins per baker frame and was a key culprit of LIU’s Sunday surge, which saw the Blackbirds win three of their final four matches of the tournament. With Hart spearheading the effort, LIU, whose lone loss on Sunday was a 3-pin setback to NEC rival St. Francis Brooklyn, topped a nationally-ranked opponent for the second day in a row when they downed Wisconsin-Whitewater, 819-797.
