Nwajei has eclipsed the 20-point mark in eight of her last nine games, and she now has four of the last five Choice Hotels NEC Rookie of the Week awards to show for her scoring rampage. The New York City product averaged 25.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals per contest as Wagner hit the road for games at Fairleigh Dickinson and Bryant. On Monday, the Seahawks, who have already defeated Robert Morris and Sacred Heart this season, knocked off another team in the top half of the league standings with Nwajei spearheading the effort. The 5-foot-8 point guard poured in 25 points and grabbed nine boards during the 78-64 win over Bryant. Playing all 40 minutes, Nwajei scored 26 points during Saturday’s setback at FDU. She leads all rookie scorers and ranks seventh overall in the NEC with her 16.9 points per game average.
