The hot-handed Hayward was a difference maker as the Red Flash stretched their win streak to five in a row last week. The Keystone State product averaged 26.5 points, 5.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals on the back end of Saint Francis’ four-game road swing. She shot 57.1 percent from the field, including a 9-for-21 clip from downtown, over the two-game sample, which started with a win double-digit win on Staten Island. Hayward was superb in 31 minutes against the Seahawks, sinking six triples on her way to 23 points. She also logged seven rebounds, six assists and a pair of steals in the 92-78 victory. As it turns out, she was only getting started. Two days later, Hayward hit the 30-point mark for the first time in her collegiate career. The 5-foot-8 combo guard, who scored 18 of her game-high 30 points in the second half, went 12-of-19 shooting and dished out five assists as the Flash escaped Smithfield with an 83-79 win over Bryant. On the season, Hayward (15.9 ppg) ranks eighth amongst NEC scoring leaders and her 62 three-pointers made are the most in the conference.
