The junior high jumper has cleared 5’9” with regularity this season and is a three-time NEC Field Athlete of the Week as a result. In her final tune-up prior to this weekend’s NEC Indoor Championships, Saunders high jumped 1.75m (5’9”) to win the 2014 Coaches Tribute at the University of Rhode Island. The third-year Blue Devil will look to repeat as the NEC Indoor high jump champion when the conference title meet commences in Landover, MD. Saunders currently sits in a tie for the No. 23 spot on the NCAA Division I leader board.
