The NEC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week award has belonged to Rodney for three weeks in a row. This time, the LIU Brooklyn sprinter earns the honor on the heels of a two-win performance at the Metropolitan Championships. Rodney, who ran the second-fastest 200m time in Division I one week earlier, clocked in at 6.88 to win a 60m dash final that featured five runners from NEC programs. The Canadian-born sprinter scored another victory running the anchor leg of LIU’s 4x400m relay. The Blackbirds edged the quartet from Rutgers by 0.5 second to claim the Metropolitan crown.
