Thanks to Guyett’s most-recent performance, Robert Morris Colonials now own the top-three spots on the NEC shot put leader board. April Krivoniak, the current league leader, was the first Colonial to put the shot at least 44 feet, doing so on January 11. One week later, Rachel Kotula, whose signature event is the javelin, joined the “44-feet Club.” On January 25, Guyett put the shot 13.51m (44’ 4”) to win gold at the Marietta College Open. Guyett’s winning throw qualified the sophomore for the ECAC Championships in March and moved her past Kotula and into second place on the Northeast Conference performance list. She is only seven centimeters off Krivoniak’s NEC-leading mark.
