Rodney repeats as the NEC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week after shaving one-half second off his league-leading 200m time and recording one of the top performances in America. The third-year Blackbird flew around the track at the BU Terrier Invitational to take first place in a loaded 200m dash field. Clocking in at 20.78, Rodney defeated Puma’s Joel Redhead for the meet title and shot up the NCAA Division I leader board. The time moved Rodney past Florida’s Arman Hall (20.80) for second place in the nation. Only Texas A&M’s Prezel Hardy (20.70) has registered a better mark at the collegiate level than Rodney has this season.
