Williams gave a slight bump to her league-leading scoring average while spearheading Saint Francis’ 2-0 showing last week. Posting back-to-back double-doubles during the Red Flash’s two-game road swing through the New York Metro Area, Williams averaged 24.0 points, 15.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals per contest. She shot 52 percent (13-of-25) from two-point range and converted on 81.3 percent (13-of-16) of her attempts from the charity stripe. She needed only 28 minutes of playing time to pour in 26 points and secure 17 boards against Fairleigh Dickinson. She followed up her prime performance in North Jersey by victimizing LIU Brooklyn for 22 points, 14 rebounds and four assists. Williams (23.8 ppg), who has broken the 20-point barrier 12 times this season, ranks eighth on the NCAA Division I scoring leader board (as of Jan. 28). The versatile forward was never in foul trouble last week, picking up three personals in two games, and logged more assists (6) than turnovers (5).
