To say Anderson caught fire last week would be an understatement. The senior guard carried Robert Morris to a 2-0 opening weekend of NEC play by merely averaging 34.0 points on 64.3 percent shooting from the floor. He hit 12-20 shots from three-point range, converting at a 60.0 percent clip. For good measure, the Elkhart, IN native added 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game. In a 79-70 win at Sacred Heart on Thursday, Anderson dropped a career-high 36 points on an incredible 15-19 night from the field, including 6-7 from beyond the arc. He also added five rebounds and three steals against the Pioneers. Less than 48 hours later, Anderson rang up 32 points - including the last nine points of the contest for the Colonials - in a 71-67 victory at Bryant. He drained 12-23 shots from the floor and 6-13 from long range, while contributing four rebounds and four assists. His jumper with 38 seconds to play snapped a 67-67 tie, and his pair at the free throw line with 0.9 seconds left helped seal the victory. Anderson became the first Colonial to eclipse the 30-point plateau in back-to-back games since Gene Nabors turned the trick in the 2000 NEC Tournament. On the 2012-13 campaign, Anderson ranks fourth in the NEC with 19.3 ppg, and he leads the conference with 3.59 three-pointers per game and 47.7 percent shooting from three-point territory. He is also fourth in the NEC in field goal percentage at 52.8 percent.
