The versatile Norfleet continues to do it all for Mount St. Mary’s, and put up some huge numbers over the holidays. He averaged 23.5 points, 6.0 assists and 2.5 steals while shooting 68.2 percent from the field and 58.3 percent from three-point range as the Mount split a pair of road games. In a 104-84 win at Norfolk State on Friday, the Virginia Beach native put on a show in front of his hometown fans with a career-high 31 points, 10 assists and four steals. Norfleet, who recorded his first career double-double, drained 11-13 shots from the floor and was 4-6 from beyond the arc. He became the first NEC player to finish with at least 30 points and 10 assists in a game since FDU’s Tamien Trent and St. Francis Brooklyn’s Tory Cavalieri did so on February 21, 2005. The senior guard also netted a team-high 16 points in a loss at Texas Tech last Monday. Norfleet currently ranks in the NEC top-10 in six categories. He is third in the NEC in scoring (19.6) and assists (5.6), fifth in steals (1.5), seventh in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.87), and eighth in field goal percentage (.470) and three-point percentage (.397).
