The defending NEC high jump champion doesn’t appear willing to relinquish her crown. Saunders, who cleared 1.70m at the 2013 NEC Indoor Championships, opened her junior season with one of the top jumps in Division I. The third-year Blue Devil won the Boston University Season Opener by leaping 1.75m, a height that only four other Division I jumpers in the nation cleared during the season’s first week.
