The NEC Rookie of the Week award has not left Fairleigh Dickinson’s possession during the month of November, and for the second week in a row, the honor belongs to Hannon. One week after averaging 20.18 pins per frame during the first Northeast Conference meet of her collegiate career, Hannon helped Fairleigh Dickinson to another winning weekend against prime competition. The rookie righty posted a 19.63 overall frame average during the three-day UMES Hawk Invitational, which welcomed fellow national powers such as Vanderbilt and Central Missouri. Hannon was the team’s top performer during Saturday’s traditional round, posting a five-game 199.8 average. Unfazed by the quality of the opponent, the freshman threw a team-high 223 game in a runaway win over 2013 NCAA runner-up Vanderbilt. She was also effective during baker play, accounting for a 1,396 pinfall as FDU went 6-2 in baker matches at UMES. Hannon, who threw 53 strikes in 128 chances (.414), accounted for an .947 filled frames percentage as FDU won 9 of 12 matches contested.
