Wolosik took advantage of her 20 minutes of court time last week and sparked Central Connecticut to a 65-58 win over Atlantic 10 member Rhode Island. Coming off the bench in CCSU’s lone game on last week’s docket, the 5-foot-10 guard totaled 15 points and sank a tie-breaking three-pointer late in regulation. Wolosik, who also logged two rebounds and one steal in the Blue Devils’ first win of the season, finished 4-for-4 shooting from the field and drained 6 of 8 attempts from the charity stripe. Her lone three-point attempt of the game could not have come at a better time. Rhode Island, which had been trailing since the 19:08 mark of the first half, finally pulled even at 53-53 with 2:55 remaining in regulation. On the ensuing possession, Wolosik put CCSU back in front for good by nailing a three-ball with 2:32 left.
