The Duquesne defense contained Noel for most of the day, but the rookie signal caller made some clutch plays with his feet in the decisive fourth quarter of Sacred Heart’s 10-0 NEC victory. Noel ran three times for 87 yards during the Pioneers’ 10-point final quarter. Showing off his speed, Noel converted a 3rd-and-11 situation by ripping off a 49-yard run with under 5:00 remaining. The run, which was his longest since he went 66 yards for a score in a Week 2 road win over Patriot League member Lafayette, brought the ball down to the Duquesne 19-yard line and running back Keshaudas Spence found paydirt two plays later. Noel, who totaled 88 rush yards on four attempts, was not sacked during the game and his lone interception came on a spectacular play by Duquesne linebacker Christian Kuntz, who snagged the ball out of the air at the line of scrimmage. Noel was 11-of-21 passing for 79 yards.
