The Blackbirds were the lone NEC team to capture two conference victories last week, and Stewart saw time in both contests. The freshman forward opened the scoring in LIU Brooklyn’s 2-1 win over regionally-ranked Robert Morris, directing Brice Merwine’s free kick into the net. It was Stewart’s lone shot attempt of the week, and it produced the rookie’s third goal of the season.
