Canevari carried the bulk of the load for a rushing attack that gained 301 yards and propelled Bryant to a 47-28 victory in its NEC opener. The redshirt freshman running back ran 27 times for 173 yards and three touchdowns as the Bulldogs topped NEC preseason favorite Wagner for their first road win of the season. Canevari scored touchdowns on runs of 1 and 8 yards as Bryant built a 17-0 lead 6:00 into the second quarter and never looked back. He added an 11-yard scoring scamper to make the score 41-14 in favor of Bryant with 5:19 left in the third quarter. Canevari, who averaged 6.4 yards per carry at Wagner, has rushed for 387 yards and six touchdowns over his first four collegiate games.
