The Red Flash nearly stunned nationally-ranked James Madison on the road, and Minter was one of the reasons why. The defensive back became the first Flash defender in nearly two years to intercept two passes in the same game. He also logged five tackles and a pass break-up. Minter’s interceptions game at key junctures during the 24-20 setback in Harrisonburg. The sophomore set the tone for the evening when he intercepted Michael Birdsong on JMU’s opening possession. His second pick came with Saint Francis facing a 17-14 deficit early in the fourth quarter. With Birdsong airing it out on the drive’s first play, Minter intercepted the ball at Saint Francis’ 36-yard line and returned it 31 yards in JMU territory to set up the game-tying field goal.
