After one nationally-ranked opponent held him in check, Hollomon exploded against No. 19 Lehigh in Week 2. The Preseason All-American all-purpose runner totaled 229 yards from scrimmage and scored three touchdowns in a near-upset on the road. He gained 160 yards rushing on 35 carries and all three of his TDs came on the ground. The former Kent State transfer made four receptions for 69 yards and added a 24-yard kickoff return. The 5-foot-8 Hollomon was a workhorse for the Blue Devils, who led Lehigh by a 20-point margin early in the fourth quarter. His third touchdown of the day, a 13-yard burst, bumped the Blue Devils’ advantage to 34-17 with 7:06 remaining in the third quarter.
