Healy was not a welcoming host as Fairleigh Dickinson visited the Mount’s Straw Family Stadium for a four-game NEC set. The Mount St. Mary’s centerfielder was particularly rude to the Knights’ pitching staff, accounting for an .813 batting average while slugging 1.500 for the series. In 16 at-bats over the four-game sample, Healy cracked 13 hits while driving in eight runs and scoring another eight. Six of the senior centerfielder’s hits went for extra bases (3 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR) as the Mountaineers managed a series split. Healy accounted for a 4-for-5 performance at the plate in Friday’s series opener, belting a double and triple and scoring two runs in the 7-1 victory. The left-handed hitter helped the Mount take a 2-0 series lead by going 3-for-3 with a pair of two-bagger and three RBI during the team’s 17-0 triumph in the first half of Saturday’s doubleheader. Trying to put his team in line for a series victory, Healy unleashed the long ball in Game 4. The veteran smashed two homers as part of a 4-for-5 showing on Sunday. Healy’s two-run bomb opened the game’s scoring two batters into the second inning. On his way to three RBI and three runs scored, Healy added a solo shot in the ninth inning of the 10-7 setback.
