Walp earned the first top-3 finish of his collegiate career at the 2013 New England Division I Championships, leading the Bulldogs to a fourth-place team finish. The freshman entered second-round play tied for fifth in the individual standings after a first-round 74, and improved his game by a stroke to close out tournament action with a day-two 73, carding a three-over 147 to move up two spots and finish in a tie for third overall.
